Careers in Conservation Zambia
Following the success of the annual Conservation Careers Fair, WCP and ARC Zambia have teamed up to create this dedicated jobs board to bring you all the latest conservation and environmental jobs within Zambia and the surrounding regions.
Available jobs will be posted as soon as we hear about them – all you have to do is check through the job listings and then apply directly to the organisation you would like to work for.
We know that the conservation and environmental sectors only make up a small percentage of the job market here in Zambia. Many jobs are with non-profit organisations and usually only people get to hear about new jobs through networking. This is why we will be posting news on our blog about volunteering and how to network, giving you the best opportunities to meet with like-minded people who already work in these sectors.
We will also bring you tips on how to write your CV and covering letter, along information on education and courses. So keeping checking in with us and we hope you find your dream job soon!
Conservation Careers Fair
Held annually, the Zambian Conservation Careers Fair brings together local conservation organisations, prominent Zambian training institutions and candidates. It hosts industry speakers and provides workshops to create a platform for students, candidates and employers to all connect.
Through its careers fair, WCP aims to cultivate an environment more conducive to participation by young Zambians, who are the future of conservation in our country. By partnering with various representatives from Zambia’s conservation organisations they hope to demonstrate to young, educated Zambians that conservation is a rewarding and viable career path.
The fair also encourages people already working in conservation to attend, especially those who are willing to help others or who are looking to move further up their career ladder.
