K9 Unit Training update from CLZ

Posted on in News, Wildlife

Conservation Lower Zambezi’s new dogs are almost halfway through their 16-week training program with Invictus K9 and they are showing great progress.

The new dogs have been imprinted on ammunition, ivory and pangolin so they are now able to successfully conduct baggage and building searches. The handlers and dogs have been trekking through the Lower Zambezi National Park. This team work is helping them to learn to focus in an environment surrounded by numerous new smells and distractions.

To follow their training you can visit CLZ’s news on their website. You can also catch up with CLZ’s other conservation activities in their monthly newsletters.
