Past Fairs

Previous Conservation Careers Fairs

Every Conservation Careers Fair aims to bring closer partners , potential employees and employers in conservation together and encourage Zambian graduates to take up careers in conservation. The events keynote speaker has been the Ministry of Tourism and Arts Permanent Secretary. For the past two years we have had Reverend Dr Howard Sikwela open the floor.

Wildlife conservation careers have not traditionally been thought of the highest in the ladder of prestigious paths, however today you can see Zambian lawyers, veterinary doctors and teachers amongst others, all employed within conservation organizations contributing to the huge array of activities being conducted, benefitting from experiences and joining in the common purpose of important work. The road towards progress is not always easy but conservationists are committed to hard work and hope for the future” – Reverend Dr. Howard Sikwela

The fair is made possible by the continuous support of our partners who in every year since 2018 take time to participate in the event.

Conservation Careers Fair 2018 and 2019

With the success of the last two conservation careers fairs in 2018 and 2019, we have confidence in the growing interest in conservation careers in Zambia because we have been able to reach over 1,000 students while promoting wildlife conservation in the public and political agenda.

The Conservation careers fair platform has hosted 25 guest speakers so far who in their unique ways have shared their astounding stories and encouraged many young graduates and students join the conservation workforce.

The two fairs attracted significant media outlets, high profile politicians and diplomats and reputable conservation organizations all over Zambia and beyond. We have featured accomplished conservationists such as:
