Mpunga Nanyangwe

Front of House And Housekeeping Manager, Anabezi Lodge

Born a typical town girl, unlike most wildlife enthusiasts, wildlife documentaries on TV were the closest thing to my passion. She also found it interesting to watch birds around residential areas in which she grew up. She was able to identify them many years later when she joined her local Chongololo Club of the Air which she found was an exciting Sunday afternoon programme.

Mpunga gave up her Job as a personal assistant in the country’s capital in 2017 to embark on a whole new path – she did a Wildlife Safari Transfer guide course with Bedrock Africa.

This Landed her a 6 months internship at Mukambi Safaris in the Kafue National Park. “This was my first time in the bush and it’s been an incredible journey ever since, from identifying Birds, Flora and fauna. I have met and learnt a lot from expert guides and experienced Camp Managers.” Currently she is working for Anabezi lodge in the Lower Zambezi National Park.
